There are several options for those who wish to travel with family or friends who have differing riding abilities.
On some trips, like the Liberty program in Sardinia, you and your traveling companion can book different programs tailored to your individual interests and needs. You may ride together on some rides and you will spend all meals and non-riding time together. At Monte Velho in Portugal one person may book the intensive dressage lessons, while another may choose instead to partake in more leisurely trail rides only. The Bitterroot Ranch separates all riders into different groups based on ability and interest, and so each participant may enjoy at their own pace. Some other rides, such as Brazil’s Pantanal ride, splits the group so that those able and willing to do faster paces are able to canter ahead of a slower group. In these ways groups with different backgrounds can enjoy all that an experience has to offer, and each other’s company!
