Have breakfast at about 8:30am, then go and get the horses from the field. Groom and tack to ride in the surrounding area.
One ride will be to Nadaillac, a very pretty typical French village. Nadaillac has an old church, a tour where the Black Prince (son of Edward III) stayed, weapons from Richard Lionshart and more beautiful things. Another morning ride will take you to St Bonnet on top of a hill, which has a Roman church and several ancient houses, beautifully restored. Ride to "les trois éveques" a place where 3 counties, 3 regions, 3 municipalities and 3 dioceses come together with an old Roman path. The rides travel through the forest with old oak - and chestnut trees, where you won't meet anybody else.
Get back at about 12:30-1pm, take care of the horses and bring them back to their field. Then have lunch and in the afternoon you can swim, relax, play tennis or hike. If her schedule allows, your hostess may take you by car to visit nearby points of interest like Sarlat or Rocamadour.
